In your home, your windows are your eyes to the world. You want to protect and take care of this valuable investment. But what happens when the wood in those windows starts to age? Even with older windows — and especially when those windows are no longer covered by warranty —  you still have the less costly option of repairing them rather than replacing them entirely.  Better news: Fenster Components can help you repair your Semco windows, possibly at a lower cost.

We invite you to compare the cost of repairing your Semco windows with the pricing available through Fenster Components.

Fenster Components — based in the Indianapolis, IN area — has been manufacturing replicated window sash profiles for most major brands of wood windows since 1999. Fenster can supply you or your contractor with replicated wood components to match your Semco Windows. Fenster also offers innovative replacement products to upgrade your existing Semco windows with better energy performance, extended life span, and less maintenance utilizing cellular PVC technology.

Work smarter. Work faster. Save money. Now that’s a better view.

We are looking for locking handles for our 27 year old windows. I have no further information on the windows. I believe they are Anderson windows with Semco or Truth USA hardware. If there is anyway you could help us with right and left hand locking handles, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Richard

Fenster is an authorized TRUTH hardware retail dealer. Many window manufactures used TRUTH hardware exclusively although they may have had private label products stamped with their logo on it. Due to the vast number of brands, styles, versions, we service over 40 years of manufacturing, we can not possibly have the specs of every possible combination. Our best advice is to look though our extensive online catalog. The link can be found on our window hardware page of our website, https://fenstersusa.com, or send us pictures via sales@fensterusa.com and we’ll do our best to identify the parts you need.

I have Semco windows on my own home. If your hardware has the name “Semco” in it, then you can get them through the parts and service department :
      Semling-Menke Company
      P.O. Box 378 | Merrill, WI 54452
      715-536-9411 | 800-333-2206

They have been a wonderful help to me.

This is very true. Semco remains a great family owned company that still knows service. Semco is one of the FEW window manufacturers that does offer replacement parts for retail sale. Any time you can get the original parts from the manufacturer we recommend that. They typically have a simpler catalog format for the layperson to identify their part.

This is all well and good if the manufacturer is still in business AND is willing to sell replacement parts. Our specialty at Fenster is servicing those customers who can’t or won’t be helped by their window’s manufacturer. From a service stand point, we have actually sold parts to customers who’s windows were still under warranty but could not get any where with their service departments. Semco uses TRUTH hardware, as does (or did) most window manufacturers in the US. In most cases TRUTH has the original factory replacement part available, less the Semco name stamped on the handle, at a lower price through a dealer and a quicker turn around, than the window manufacturer.

I have a semco patio door. It has a triple lock system that is broken. I have went to several places and have not been able to find a replacement. Can you help me find a lock for this door?

Scott, Semco is still in business. They should be able to help you. We don’t work with doors really at all, and the hardware side of things is not our specialty.

I am looking to get springs fixed in our semco windows. The house was built in 1989. Please let me know if you think you can fix and estimate on cost.

Judy, I can’t say with any certainty what balance parts Semco used specifically. Our jambliner kits fit most brands of tilt in windows with vinyl compression jambliners. You can find those on our website at, https://fenstersusa.com.

Sue, I’ve heard of Semco making these storm panels, but unfortunately we have never made anything like that. Sorry I couldn’t be more help on this one.

Im looking to replace 12 Semco casement sashes. Does anyone still make replacement sashes for my 1997 windows?

Hi Jeff, Semco might still make them, but good luck finding a dealer that will sell them to you. We can make the painted version from that era. If they are clad, can’t do that one.

Directions for replacing Semco double hung picture sash. How do they come out.

Brad, It was probably 2004 the last time I did that, but if I remember right, those are just sandwiched between int/ext stops in the jamb.

Hi Chris, I heard that as well. I really couldn’t tell you past the early 90’s what jambliner Semco was using. Here’s our jambliner site if you want to check those out. http://www.windowpartsusa.com

Looking for Semco replacement Screens. The total frame with screen. Do you have any suggestions of where we might find them? House was built in 2000. Thanks.

We do not make screens. Most smaller chain hardware stores like Ace or DO-IT Best offer screen repair.

Hi john, We’re really not on the hardware side of things, at least we haven’t been for awhile. We’ve transitioned to specialize in sash production with little competition. There’s plenty of online window hardware stores that can probably help you with that item. Try Blaine’s, Swisco, or All About Doors for example.
